Is it still possible to take up boxing considering current fitness and age……?

age:17
weight: 12 stones all flab with belly big but not 2 big, plus my arms are pretty small for my size i feel no power/strength in them but speed.

I also cant skip and at one point was joggin for 20 mins then after tryed doin 25 situps done 15 easily and struggled xtremely to 25 can do about 6-7 pressups easily but 13 struggling.

Can i still make a great boxer if so what training do you reconmmend first to get in2 shape etc to build stamina and so on, if it is not possible then plz say so.

    Yes, anyone (who is pretty healthy other than being flabby,.etc) can take up boxing if they put their mind to it, I think.

    Just take some brisk walks or walk up some stairs a few times to get your heart rate up. Keep doing the exercises you were doing. Don’t give up.

    You are still young and sound pretty healthy despite weight. That can be changed. :) Ask someone who knows about boxing at a studio or wherever you are thinking of going, and they will help you train.

    sure you can start boxing. you won’t be good at first because your too big. but after a while you will loose much of the belly fat and settle into a more natural weight class. I had a similar experience back when I wrestled. It took me 2 yrs of training to go down a couple of weight classes but I got there. good luck
